Who are the speakers?
Dr. Melanie Joy, PhD, is a psychologist who graduated from Harvard University, an international trainer, and the author of eight books, including the award-winning works “Why We Love Dogs, Eat Pigs, and Wear Cows,” “Beyond Beliefs: A Guide to Improving Relationships and Communication for Vegans, Vegetarians, and Meat Eaters,” and “How to End Injustice Everywhere.” Melanie is the eighth recipient of the Ahimsa Award from the Institute of Jainology, previously awarded to Nelson Mandela and the Dalai Lama. Her work has been featured by media worldwide, and she is also the founding president of the non-profit organization Beyond Carnism. You can learn more about her work at carnism.org.
Tobias Leenaert is the author of “How to Create a Vegan World: a Pragmatic Approach,” co-founder of ProVeg International, and one of the most influential strategic thinkers of the global vegan movement.
