Online Climate Circles

share

Online Climate Circles offer a safe, virtual space to share emotions and thoughts caused by the climate crisis and environmental degradation. Within this space, you have the opportunity to unload these daily emotions, which you might not feel as comfortable discussing with friends and family. Alexandra and One Resilient Earth invite you to an Online Climate Circle. In this brave and supportive space, we encourage you to acknowledge and share these feelings. We create opportunities to speak openly about the injustice, exhaustion, frustration, pain, and sadness we experience as humans in the context of the climate. At the same time, we celebrate and honor moments of joy, hope, inspiration, and make room for the beauty of being together. Inspired by the sharing circle practices of indigenous peoples, the circle is based on the following principles: Creating a safe space for deep listening and feeling heard Equal appreciation of all voices Storytelling and sharing experiences Developing mutual understanding, respect, and support Appreciating the gifts, knowledge, talents, and experiences of each individual Building a sense of community Who can participate? All people who are interested and need such a space are welcome. It doesn't matter where you come from or what you do. Whether you work in art, science, education, technology, industry, finance, community work, or the social and humanitarian sector, you will find a place in the circle. You can join on any Tuesday you wish; participation in all circles is not mandatory. Climate Circles are conducted in Romanian and offered free of charge to everyone. The format of the Climate Circles is developed and sponsored by One Resilient Earth. When and Where? Every Tuesday, starting September 5th, from 7 PM (GMT+3), for one hour, online, on Zoom, until January 30th, 2024. The hosts, within these circles, do not provide medical care or therapy services, nor do they attempt to diagnose, treat, prevent, and/or cure any physical, mental, or emotional problem. The information provided by the hosts of the Climate Circles is for informational and educational purposes only: it does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment by a doctor and/or psychologist. Participants should always seek the advice of their doctor or a mental health specialist if they have questions or concerns about their own health. Participants should not ignore medical advice, delay, start, or stop taking medication because of their participation in the climate circle or because of information provided by the climate circle host. If participants suspect they have a medical or mental health problem, they should immediately contact their doctor or mental health specialist.
