Velements promotes the concept of "upcycled fashion" on the Romanian market. It's not a new concept, but it's a powerful one. The fast-fashion industry produces 1 billion items per year globally. More simply, almost 3 million items per day, and 85% of our old clothes end up in landfills.

It's time for a change. Give old clothes a chance. Give creativity a chance.

But in the absence of a real infrastructure and a national monitoring, collection, and reporting system, this obligation risks becoming a formality, with no impact on the environment or how we treat used clothes.
