No Limits to Hope: Club of Rome conference, Bucharest 2026
We know quite a lot about the climate crisis and the planet's limits. Much less often do we talk about how we move from knowledge to action.
This is the focus of the conference No Limits to Hope: Sense-making for alternative futures, organized by the Club of Rome and the Romanian Association for the Club of Rome, from November 4–6, 2026. The host for the three days is the National Bank of Romania in Bucharest, and the debates can also be followed online.
Why it matters
The conference marks the launch of Constellations of Hope, a global collection of case studies on transformative learning, and the centenary of Mircea Malița, co-author of the report No Limits to Learning. For sustainability and sustainable development in Romania, thinkers from around the world are coming to Bucharest to discuss what a just and regenerative future looks like.
What the program offers
- Reimagining learning for regeneration: education designed for regeneration, with Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, former Minister of Education in France.
- Money, power and the planet: finance and central banks in tomorrow's economy, with Daniel Dăianu and Josef Meichenitsch.
- Ugo Bardi presents the new report to the Club of Rome, The End of Population Growth.
- Artificial intelligence in the service of people, the planet, and peace.
