Online Workshop on Tourist Visibility
More opportunities for ecotourism in the Danube Delta: free workshop on promotion in the age of artificial intelligence
How can guesthouses, guides, and small ecotourism operators in the Danube Delta more easily reach tourists planning their vacations online? The free online workshop, organized through Orange Digital Center Mila 23, offers practical solutions for increasing the visibility of local businesses.
The free online workshop on promoting ecotourism in the Danube Delta with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) is open to tourism operators in the Delta, as well as anyone interested in the connection between nature and digital.
When someone searches through AI for information about life in the Delta, or recommendations for trips or accommodation in a specific locality in the Delta, search results can highlight, with priority, details about those guesthouses or trip organizers who adopt the least invasive ecotourism solutions, thus contributing to the preservation of the area's biodiversity.
A rowing boat trip on the channels, a bird-watching tour with a local guide, or a meal prepared according to recipes preserved for generations are experiences that offer more than just a simple visit to a tourist destination. They create connections with the place, with nature, and with the people who live there. In short, responsible tourism experiences help both nature and contribute to the well-being of Delta communities.
Family guesthouses, local guides, and other small entrepreneurs in the Delta can learn, by participating in this online workshop, how to organize their available online information so that their services are easier to find, and the natural and cultural heritage of the Delta can be experienced by tourists without being endangered. The workshop explains, in an understandable way, how AI searches work, how the online profile of those providing responsible tourism services can be optimized, the role of reviews, and how they should present themselves to increase their chances of appearing in recommendations. Participants will receive practical, immediately applicable advice without needing advanced technical knowledge.
Those interested can register here for the workshop “How to make your tourism business more visible in AI searches?”, which takes place on Monday, October 26, 2026, between 16:30 and 18:00, exclusively online. Participation is free, and participants will receive the connection link via email.
The workshop is part of the digital education program for Delta communities “Orange Digital Center Mila 23 – Digital inclusion in the Danube Delta in the context of 5G technologies”, a project initiated by the Ivan Patzaichin – Mila 23 Association and funded by the Orange Romania Foundation, through the Ivan Patzaichin Museum – Community Innovation Center, with the objective of developing the digital skills of Delta residents.
The program is carried out in cooperation with “5G Connect Danube Delta (5G-CDD)”, a European project coordinated by Orange Romania, in which the Ivan Patzaichin – Mila 23 Association is a partner, an initiative that aims to expand 5G connectivity and develop digital solutions in four areas: education, telemedicine, slow tourism, and environmental monitoring.
For ecotourism, one of the relevant components is the development of the mobile application Delta lui Ivan, which provides information about routes, places, and points of interest, encouraging informed and responsible exploration of the Delta.
