RongoDesign
RongoDesign is developing an innovative natural material that combines mycelium – the root structure of fungi – with agro-industrial waste, offering an alternative comparable to petrochemical materials, ideal for interior design and insulation applications. Our manufacturing processes are based on the collaboration between biotechnologists and modern industries, allowing for the use of circular materials, the reuse of industrial waste, and the implementation of ecological and healthy solutions. The RongoDesign concept promotes a manufacturing process with a positive impact on the environment, emphasizing that adopting technological solutions is essential for building business resilience, sustainability, and stability.
Embryon
The built environment is one of the main contributors to global carbon emissions, which is why the creation of sustainable materials and new construction methods is essential. A variety of new products and systems are currently being developed, but much more needs to be done. At the same time, we must first understand and respect the biological and ecological specificity of each place, using methods such as generative tools for innovative design. Ultimately, we will be able to create a fusion between the biological element and inert systems for a future built environment based on bio-integration. Embryon Atelier is a cultural project that aims to approach design from a human-centered perspective. In our vision, the user of space has the special responsibility of creating and maintaining a harmonious natural environment, and also fulfills a key role in the life of the community, implicitly generating the creation of valuable "cultural places" around them. The comfortable living of such "places" is the objective of our team. To this end, Embryon Atelier's activity focuses on three priority directions: education, research, and design.
Casa verde
Ileana Mavrodin I am an architect born in Romania who spent 12 years living and working in Canada. Canada is a welcoming and very beautiful country, but air-conditioned life is not for me! In 2004, Casa-Verde changed my destiny! My dream now is to introduce Cob as an ecological construction alternative in Romania. While working on this project, I met a number of interesting people; I made new friends and was helped and encouraged. Lawyers, architects, engineers, and locals, we all got involved and shared the same dream.
